The acute myeloid leukemia cell line HL60 was treated with 300nM trichostatin A (TSA) for 2 hours and chromatin fibers were prepared following brief exposure (10 min) to the DNA-protein cross-linking agent, formaldehyde (1% v/v). A single chromatin fiber was co-immunostained for acetylated histone H4 (red stain), and the non-homologous end-joining (NHEJ) protein Ku86 (green stain) is shown. The regions of co-localization of acetylated H4 and Ku86 on the chromatin fiber are shown in yellow. For details, see article by Gaymes et al. on page 563.
