Aurora B protein kinase is a member of chromosomal passenger complex and a survivin-binding partner regulating mitotic events including chromosome segregation and cytokinesis. This kinase displays a characteristic localization pattern in mitotic cells as it is present at metaphase chromosomes, central spindle midzone, and midbody. Bcr-Abl-expressing mouse progenitor cells were stained with anti-Aurora B antibody (red) followed by DNA staining with DAPI (blue). Mitotic cell in metaphase is presented.
