Localization of the transcription factor EGR-1 in prostate cancer DU-145 cells. Immunofluorescence was performed with antibodies against -tubulin (green) and EGR-1 (red) in combination with Hoechst dye to stain DNA (blue). This overlay image shows that after detergent extraction, EGR-1 is retained within the cell and is localized in the intermediate filaments of the cytoskeleton.
